Terms

Plain terms for visiting statues, the Satoshi Fountain giveaway and tips.

Visiting statues

• Obey local laws and any rules at the site.
• Don’t trespass. Only visit statues from public places or during opening hours, and respect private property.
• Visiting statues, checking in and using this site are at your own risk. We don’t guarantee access, safety or that a statue is still there.

Satoshi Fountain giveaway

• The Satoshi Fountain is a small, optional giveaway run by SatoshiStatues.com at selected statues (Budapest, Lugano, El Zonte, Vienna, Buenos Aires).
• A GPS check-in verified by our server at one of these statues lets you get sats sent to a Lightning address. Our server draws the amount when your check-in is verified and shows it before you enter an address: 1–121 sats, or the rare Lucky 1,021 bonus. It is reserved for you for 21 minutes, and released if you don’t claim it in that time. The exact odds are in the Official Rules, which also apply.
• It is funded only from a giveaway budget set by SatoshiStatues.com and runs while the giveaway budget lasts. Daily limits apply per statue, per network and overall.
• One payout per Lightning address per statue, and one per passport per statue.
• No purchase or tip is needed. Tipping never affects the giveaway.
• You must be 18 or older to take part.
• The giveaway can change, pause or stop at any time without notice. Nobody is entitled to a payout.
• We may refuse or cancel payouts that look like abuse, for example faked locations, many devices or many addresses.
• Payouts are sent over Lightning and can’t be reversed. Check your Lightning address before you send it.
• Where the giveaway isn’t allowed, it doesn’t apply. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to you.

Tips

• Tips are voluntary payments to SatoshiStatues.com that help keep the map running.
• Tips are not tax-deductible, are not refundable and don’t buy any goods, services or rights.
• Tips are kept separate from the giveaway and are never added to the giveaway budget.

Linking your X account

Linking your X account is optional. SatoshiStatues.com is not affiliated with or endorsed by X Corp. ‘Verified’ means the walker signed in with that X account. It is not X’s own verification badge.
