- What the design means
- Seated hacker with a laptop on his lap, built from 61 thin mirror-polished stainless-steel profiles with gaps between them (a technique taken from sculptor Julian Voss-Andreae), on a Corten-steel base. It is clear from the side and almost invisible head-on, standing for Satoshi's anonymity and retreat from public life. Someone standing behind it is reflected in the face, so "We are all Satoshi". The "cliché" hacker deliberately honours all the developers who built Bitcoin. It was unveiled alongside the Base's mission to "make Japan a great Bitcoin nation again".Sources: Bitcoin Austria: Vienna unveiling Forbes (8 Sep 2025)

- Reported Reported as the 3rd of the series: Forbes called it "currently just one of three in the world" at the opening.Sources: Forbes (8 Sep 2025)

Exact spot
Outside Tokyo Bitcoin Base, 2-8 Yotsuya-Honshiocho, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo 160-0003 (Forbes: the statue "sits outside of Tokyo Bitcoin Base"). Forbes describes the building as four stories on a relatively quiet block. Pin: 35.68897, 139.72854 (OpenStreetMap node for Tokyo Bitcoin Base).
Photo tip
It's a Satoshigallery design, so the figure is visible from the side and nearly disappears from the front. Take both angles. The exact best viewpoint at this site is unverified.
Generic tip (not from a source): it's a street-side spot, so go early or late to avoid passers-by in the frame.
Hours & access
The statue is outdoors outside the building. Opening hours for viewing it are unverified. Inside, the co-working space offers drop-ins on weekdays from 10:00 to 18:00 for ¥5,500 per day, with Lightning accepted, per the archived Nov 2025 site.
